Summary
This study tested whether a personalized 6-week psychological intervention could reduce stress and change the biology of breast tumors in 40 women undergoing surgery. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the psychological program or standard nursing care. Researchers measured stress levels, psychological distress, and looked at gene activity in the removed tumors related to cancer spread.
