Scanning for clues: can new imaging tech unlock prostate cancer secrets?
NCT ID NCT05819606
Summary
This study aimed to see if detailed features from a special type of PET scan (PSMA PET/CT) could help doctors better understand how aggressive a man's prostate cancer is before surgery. Researchers enrolled 70 men with intermediate or high-risk prostate cancer who were scheduled for surgery. They compared the scan results with other standard tests and the final surgical findings to look for connections.
