New scan could sharpen view of prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT04030338

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special type of PET scan called PSMA PET can give doctors a clearer picture of prostate cancer compared to usual scans. About 58 men with prostate cancer that is either new or getting worse will get these scans over time. The goal is to see if changes on the scan can predict when the cancer might come back or spread, helping guide future treatment decisions.
