Smarter scans may allow safer radiation for recurring prostate cancer

Summary
This study tests whether using a special PET scan (PSMA-PET) to guide radiation can reduce side effects while still controlling prostate cancer that has returned after surgery. About 54 men will receive a lower dose of radiation to the pelvis plus a higher dose to the exact spots seen on the scan, along with standard hormone therapy. The goal is to see if this approach causes fewer severe short-term side effects compared to historical rates, while keeping the cancer in check for at least two years.
