Can a prostate cancer scan help track rare salivary gland tumors?
NCT ID NCT06521775
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special type of PET/CT scan (PSMA PET) can help doctors see if treatment is working in patients with metastatic adenoid cystic carcinoma, a rare salivary gland cancer that has spread. Six adults who already had this cancer and were part of another study received two PSMA PET scans about 12-20 weeks apart. The goal was to see if changes in the scan matched changes in the tumor and to check for side effects.
