First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether a single high dose of psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms), combined with talk therapy, can help people with advanced cancer feel less anxious about death and dying. Fifteen adults with stage IV cancer will receive the treatment and be monitored for safety and emotional benefits. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and acceptable for this group.
