First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a group retreat using psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) can help healthcare workers who feel depressed and have lost meaning in their work. About 72 doctors, nurses, and other clinicians will take part in small group retreats with different amounts of preparation. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and helpful for easing symptoms of depression and restoring a sense of purpose.
