First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests whether psilocybin mushrooms are safe for adults with PTSD and whether they might help ease symptoms. Up to 24 participants will eat dried mushrooms mixed into chocolate. The main goal is to check for side effects, but researchers will also look at how the body processes the drug and any early signs of benefit.
