Summary
This study tests whether very small, non-hallucinogenic doses of psilocybin (the active ingredient in 'magic mushrooms') can reduce depression, anxiety, and loss of purpose in people with advanced illnesses like cancer. 120 adults receiving palliative care will take either a daily microdose or a placebo for two weeks. The goal is to find a fast, safe, and accessible way to improve emotional well-being near the end of life.
