Magic mushroom compound tested for depression in brain scan study

Summary
This study tests whether psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, can help treat depression. About 50 adults with depression will receive psilocybin alongside therapy. Researchers will use MRI brain scans to see how the drug changes brain activity and mood over time.
