Magic mushroom compound could ease bipolar depression in new trial

Summary

This study tests whether a single dose of psilocybin (25 mg), given with therapy, can reduce depression in people with bipolar II disorder who haven't gotten better with standard treatments. About 90 adults aged 19-65 will receive either the full dose or a very low placebo dose, and their symptoms will be tracked for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and effective for easing depression.
