Can a simple task test keep aging psychiatric patients out of the hospital?

NCT ID NCT06738784

First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a tool called PRPP (Perceive, Recall, Plan and Perform) can help doctors and therapists decide the best way to support older adults with psychiatric disorders who live on their own. The tool measures how well a person can perform everyday tasks and how their thinking skills affect that. Researchers hope it will lead to better care plans and fewer hospitalizations. The study involves 66 participants aged 40 and older who are already receiving support from a specialized mental health department.
