New study tests less invasive Smell-Restoring treatment
NCT ID NCT07151703
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to deliver a patient's own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to help restore smell in adults who have lost it for over three months. Researchers will compare a topical gel application to an injection, both targeting the smell area in the nose, to see which is more effective and comfortable. All 60 participants will also continue daily smell training exercises for three months after the single PRP treatment.
