New hope for smell loss: a simple gel vs. an injection
NCT ID NCT07151703
Summary
This study is testing two different ways to deliver a patient's own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to help restore smell in adults who have had smell loss for over three months. Researchers will compare a less invasive method using a PRP-soaked sponge placed in the nose to a more direct injection method. The goal is to see which approach is more effective and comfortable for improving smell function.
