PRP boosts hip surgery recovery? 400-Patient trial launches

NCT ID NCT03909139

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a patient's own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to standard arthroscopic hip labral repair surgery improves pain, function, and quality of life. Researchers will enroll 400 adults with torn hip labrums and compare outcomes between those who receive PRP and those who do not. The goal is to see if PRP can help the joint heal better and delay or prevent future arthritis.
