Summary
This study compared a new device, the Proxima 3®, to the standard hospital method for measuring oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other substances in the blood. Researchers wanted to see if the new device gives accurate and reliable results quickly. The study included 20 adult patients who already had an arterial line placed for medical care.
