First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests two types of radiation (proton or photon) given before surgery for retroperitoneal sarcoma, a rare tumor in the back of the abdomen. The goal is to find the highest safe radiation dose and see how well it controls the tumor. About 80 adults with this sarcoma will receive targeted radiation to the tumor and a higher dose to high-risk areas, followed by surgery.
