New proton beam treatment offers hope for breast cancer recurrence

Summary
This study is testing a specialized form of radiation called proton beam therapy for women whose breast cancer has returned in the same breast after previous surgery and radiation. The goal is to see if this targeted approach can control the cancer while minimizing skin damage and other side effects from receiving radiation a second time. It involves 20 participants who will receive 15 daily proton beam treatments.
