Summary
This study looked at whether taking extra protein every day—either from a plant blend or from milk—helps older adults build and keep muscle. Fifty-one healthy people aged 60 to 80 took part. Researchers measured muscle protein building both at rest and after exercise. The goal was to see if plant-based protein could work as well as milk protein for supporting muscle health as we age.
