Summary
This study looks at how much protein is best for keeping muscles strong when they can't be used due to injury. Twenty-eight healthy, active adults will have one leg immobilized in a brace while they consume either 20 or 40 grams of whey protein. Researchers will measure how well the body builds muscle protein to find the optimal dose for preventing muscle loss.
