Summary

This study looked at whether a tailored program of protein supplements and exercise can increase muscle protein synthesis in people with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are not yet on dialysis. 40 participants (patients and healthy controls) were involved. The goal was to see if lifestyle changes can prevent muscle loss before dialysis becomes necessary.
