Scientists test unusual combo: cancer vaccine plus testosterone to fight advanced prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT06100705
Summary
This study is testing whether combining a cancer vaccine called Sipuleucel-T with a specific testosterone therapy can boost the immune system's attack on prostate cancer. It is for men whose prostate cancer has spread and no longer responds to standard hormone treatments. The main goal is to see if this combination improves the body's immune response to the cancer, with secondary goals of measuring tumor shrinkage and survival.
