Scientists test unusual combo: cancer vaccine plus testosterone to fight advanced prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT06100705
Summary
This study is testing whether combining a prostate cancer vaccine (Sipuleucel-T) with carefully timed testosterone injections can better control advanced prostate cancer that has become resistant to standard hormone therapy. Researchers will enroll 26 men to see if this combination boosts the immune system's attack on cancer cells and improves outcomes. The goal is to see if this approach can slow disease progression and extend life for these patients.
