New radiation methods may offer shorter, easier treatment for spread prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT04610372

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests if shorter, more intense radiation (SABR or brachytherapy) is as safe and effective as standard radiation for men with prostate cancer that has spread to a few other places in the body. About 168 participants will receive one of the radiation types alongside long-term hormone therapy. The goal is to see if the newer methods cause fewer side effects and improve quality of life while controlling the cancer.
