Scientists investigate why prostate cancer scans Don't always agree

NCT ID NCT07485257

Summary

This study aims to understand why some prostate cancer lesions appear on MRI scans but not on PSMA-PET scans, and vice versa. Researchers will analyze tissue samples from 30 patients to determine if these 'discordant' lesions represent less aggressive cancer, more dangerous forms, or different types of disease altogether. The goal is to help doctors better interpret conflicting scan results and make more informed treatment decisions.
