New pill could offer simpler prostate cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT07299292
Summary
This study is testing whether a lower dose of a hormone therapy pill (abiraterone), taken with food and a steroid (prednisone), can lower testosterone to castration levels in men with prostate cancer. The goal is to see if this approach works without needing the standard hormone-blocking injections during the first month. About 60 men in Argentina and Bolivia who are starting intensified hormone treatment for their prostate cancer will participate.
