New approach tests cheaper, gentler prostate cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT07299292
Summary
This study is testing if a lower dose of the drug abiraterone, taken with food and a steroid, can lower testosterone levels in men with prostate cancer without needing the standard, more intense hormone-blocking injections. It involves 60 men in Argentina and Bolivia who need stronger hormone therapy. The main goal is to see if this simpler, more affordable regimen can effectively control the cancer's hormone fuel within 30 days.
