Could a simple ultrasound replace MRI for prostate cancer detection?
NCT ID NCT06024772
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special ultrasound with contrast dye can find aggressive prostate cancer as well as MRI does. About 300 men scheduled for a prostate biopsy will get both scans. If the ultrasound works just as well, it could offer a cheaper, faster, and more accessible option for diagnosis.
