New drug combo shows promise in slowing prostate cancer spread

Summary

This study looked at whether adding the drug axitinib to standard hormone therapy before surgery could help control prostate cancer that has spread to lymph nodes. 73 men with previously untreated prostate cancer took part. The goal was to see if the combination could delay cancer progression after surgery.
