Could a common heart drug boost bladder cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT07353294

First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether adding the blood-pressure drug propranolol to standard immunotherapy and chemotherapy can improve outcomes for people with bladder cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes. About 12 participants will receive the combination before surgery to remove their bladder. The main goal is to check safety, but researchers will also look for signs that the cancer disappears completely.
