Summary
This study aimed to find the most effective dose of the sedative drug propofol to make colonoscope insertion comfortable for patients aged 65 and older. Researchers tested different doses on 29 patients to determine the amount that successfully prevented pain, movement, or vocalization during the first part of the procedure. The goal was to improve patient comfort and procedural ease during colonoscopies for the elderly.
