NCT ID NCT04334525
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether special placemats and a reward card could encourage children to pick healthier meals at fast-food restaurants. About 241 families with kids aged 4-8 took part. Some restaurants used placemats that promoted healthy kids' meals and gave a free meal after buying six healthy options, while others used generic placemats. The goal was to see if these simple changes could improve what kids order and eat.
