Summary

This study looked at levels of a hormone called prolactin in the gum fluid of 26 obese people with and without gum disease (periodontitis). Researchers measured prolactin before and after non-surgical gum treatment to see if it changed. The goal was to better understand the link between obesity, gum disease, and this hormone.
