Blood protein may reveal clues about ankylosing spondylitis

NCT ID NCT07117344

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at a protein called progranulin in the blood of people with ankylosing spondylitis (a type of arthritis that affects the spine) and compares it to healthy volunteers. Researchers want to see if progranulin levels are linked to disease activity and TNF-α inhibitor use. The goal is to find a potential biomarker to better understand the disease.
