First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study examines whether a simple score based on blood tests (albumin and lymphocyte counts) can predict serious complications after coronary artery bypass surgery. Researchers reviewed records of 117 patients to see if the score, called the Prognostic Nutritional Index, helps identify those at higher risk for problems like kidney injury or infection. The goal is to improve how doctors assess and prepare patients for surgery.
