Heart procedure safety under the microscope: new registry tracks Real-World outcomes

NCT ID NCT07580937

First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study gathered information from routine medical care for 198 adults with atrial fibrillation who already had a device to close off a part of the heart (left atrial appendage occlusion) and then later underwent a heart ablation procedure. Researchers looked at patient details, how the procedure was done, blood-thinner use after the procedure, and any complications. The goal was simply to collect real-world data to better understand outcomes in this specific group, not to test a new treatment.
