NCT ID NCT06989177
First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a probiotic called Lactobacillus paracasei LC-19 can help overweight or obese adults lose weight and improve their metabolism. Over 12 weeks, participants will follow a reduced-calorie diet and exercise plan, and also take either the probiotic, a weight-loss drug (semaglutide), or a placebo. The goal is to see which approach works best for weight loss and long-term health, and to understand why some people respond better than others.
