Summary
This study tested whether taking probiotics (beneficial bacteria) can help people with active lupus, an autoimmune disease. Forty adults with lupus took probiotics to see if it would reduce disease activity and improve their quality of life. The goal was to find a simple, safe way to better manage lupus symptoms and flare-ups.
