Gut health for stronger bones? probiotic study targets osteoporosis
NCT ID NCT06375668
Summary
This study investigated whether taking daily probiotic supplements for one year could improve bone mineral density in postmenopausal women with low bone density. Researchers enrolled 170 women and randomly assigned them to receive either the probiotic blend or a placebo pill. The main goal was to see if the probiotics, taken alongside a normal diet, could help strengthen bones and potentially reduce fracture risk.
