Gut bugs for stronger bones? study tests probiotic power
NCT ID NCT06375668
Summary
This study tested whether taking a daily probiotic supplement for one year could improve bone mineral density in postmenopausal women with low bone density. Researchers compared two specific probiotic strains against a placebo in 170 women. The goal was to see if improving gut health could be a new way to help control bone loss.
