First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether it's possible to give probiotics (good bacteria) to people with stage III colon cancer while they receive chemotherapy. The goal is to see if probiotics can help reduce common side effects like nausea, loss of appetite, and diarrhea. About 40 adults will take either a probiotic or a placebo pill during their treatment, and researchers will track how many finish the study and any side effects that occur.
