Summary

This study tests whether a probiotic called VE818 can reduce harmful bacteria in the gut and improve gut health in pregnant women. About 144 women in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Zambia, and Burkina Faso will take part. They will first receive an antibiotic, then either the probiotic or a placebo, and researchers will measure changes in gut bacteria levels.
