First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily probiotic supplement (Lactiplantibacillus plantarum LM1001) can improve muscle strength in older adults aged 50-84 with age-related muscle weakness. Over 12 weeks, 100 participants will receive either the probiotic or a placebo. The goal is to see if improving gut health can help maintain or increase muscle function.
