Summary
This study tested whether a specific probiotic supplement could help relieve chronic constipation. Researchers enrolled 90 adults with long-term constipation and gave them either the probiotic or a placebo pill. The goal was to see if the probiotic improved bowel movements and stool consistency by changing the mix of bacteria in the gut.
