First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether a probiotic called Clostridium butyricum can reduce severe diarrhea and other side effects in people receiving chemotherapy after colorectal cancer surgery. About 238 adults who have had their tumor removed will take either the probiotic or a placebo during their chemo. The goal is to see if this friendly bacterium helps them tolerate treatment better.
