NCT ID NCT07536698
First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a daily supplement containing a friendly bacteria (Bifidobacterium longum W11) and a natural fiber (Colopectin) can help children aged 2 to 6 years with long-term constipation stop using their regular laxative (macrogol) without the constipation coming back. One hundred children will receive either the supplement or a placebo for 4 weeks, then be followed for another 4 weeks. The goal is to see if the supplement helps maintain regular bowel movements after the laxative is stopped.
