Summary
This study tested a new eye medication called PRO-169 against a standard drug (ranibizumab) for people with diabetic macular edema, a condition that causes vision loss in people with diabetes. Over 500 adults received injections into the eye and were followed for one year to see if PRO-169 works as well as the standard treatment in improving eyesight. The goal is to offer another safe and effective option for managing this eye disease.
