NCT ID NCT07452848
First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a common technique used during liver surgery—temporarily clamping blood vessels to reduce bleeding—increases the chance of developing gallbladder diseases like gallstones or inflammation later on. Researchers will review medical records of 2,000 adults who had liver surgery with their gallbladder left in place. The goal is to help surgeons decide whether to remove or keep the gallbladder during liver operations.
