New ALS drug PrimeC shows promise in Mid-Stage trial

Summary

This study tested a new drug called PrimeC in 69 people with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) to see if it is safe and can slow the disease. Participants took PrimeC or a placebo twice daily for 6 months, and everyone who finished could then receive PrimeC for another 12 months. The goal was to measure side effects, survival, and changes in muscle function and breathing.
