First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether an oral bacterial lysate (Broncho-Vaxom) can reduce wheezing episodes in infants who were hospitalized for severe bronchiolitis. About 173 infants will receive either the bacterial extract or a placebo for up to 24 months. The goal is to see if this treatment can prevent the development of wheeze and potentially asthma later in childhood.
